Tongariro National Park in New Zealand


One of UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites, park is home to numerous mountains and volcanoes, plus Tongariro, Ruapehu and Ngauruhoe. The most famous activities in the summer are climbing, skiing, game fishing and horse riding. The park is also popular for being one of the places where the Lord of the Rings films was shot.

The tourist places in New Zealand have become so successful that it is the biggest export earner in the country today, and doubtless will be for the foreseeable upcoming.
